Terms of Use

Last updated: November 1, 2026

These terms apply to the Mailscoop app for macOS and to the website mailscoop.app, provided by COVERSTYLE · VAT IT07400070962 ("we", "us").

1. Licence

Mailscoop is distributed through the Mac App Store and licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms add to the EULA; if they conflict, the EULA prevails.

2. What Mailscoop does

Mailscoop finds email addresses in files you choose and processes them only on your Mac. The free version shows the total number of addresses found and reveals the first 50 of each extraction; paid plans reveal more, as described in the app at the time of purchase.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Mailscoop only on files you are entitled to access, and you are solely responsible for how you use the addresses you extract. In particular you must not use Mailscoop or its results to:

  • send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or otherwise breach anti-spam laws;
  • process personal data without a valid legal basis under the GDPR or other applicable data-protection laws;
  • infringe the rights of others or break any law.

For the addresses you extract you are the data controller. We have no access to them (see our Privacy Policy).

4. Subscriptions and purchases

  • Plus and Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly or yearly); Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store in your currency, including applicable taxes.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings › Subscriptions.
  • Introductory offers (for example a reduced price for the first year) are available once per Apple ID, as stated at the time of purchase. After the offer period the subscription renews at the regular price shown.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.

5. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the laws of your country, including the statutory conformity guarantee for digital content in the EU.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Mailscoop accurate and reliable, but extraction depends on the content and format of your files: some addresses may not be detected and some results may need checking. We may update the app to improve it or to comply with law or App Store rules.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any use you make of the extracted addresses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or damage to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its design, the Mailscoop name and logo and the content of this website belong to us. You keep all rights to your files and to the results you create with the app.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
