Extract email addresses from PDF files

Brochures, attendee lists, invoices, catalogues: if an email address is in a PDF, Mailscoop finds it — even when the PDF is a scan.

Text PDFs and scanned PDFs

Mailscoop reads the text layer of every page. When a page has no text — a scan or a photo — it runs Apple's on-device text recognition (OCR) and finds the addresses in the image. Links like mailto: inside the PDF are picked up too.

Clean results, not a raw dump

Duplicates are merged and counted, invalid matches such as logo@2x.png are discarded, and obfuscated addresses like name [at] company [dot] com are recognised.

Your PDFs stay private

Nothing is uploaded. Online PDF email extractors send your documents to someone else's server; Mailscoop never leaves your Mac and has no permission to access the internet.

How it works

  1. Open Mailscoop and drag your PDFs (or a whole folder) onto the window.
  2. Watch the count grow as every page is scanned.
  3. Filter by domain, then export to CSV or TXT, or copy the list.
