Extract emails from scans and images with OCR

Business cards, scanned forms, screenshots of web pages: Mailscoop reads the text in images and pulls out the email addresses.

On-device OCR

Mailscoop uses Apple's Vision text recognition, which runs entirely on your Mac. PNG, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF and scanned PDF pages are supported, as are pictures embedded in Word and PowerPoint files.

Tuned for addresses

Spaces that OCR often inserts around the @ sign are cleaned up, and every result is validated before it reaches your list.

No cloud, no upload

Images of business cards contain personal data. They never leave your computer.

How it works

  1. Drag photos, screenshots or scanned PDFs onto Mailscoop.
  2. Make sure OCR is on in Settings (it is by default).
  3. Copy or export the addresses found.
